ADVENTURECluster

Release Information

New features in ADVENTURECluster 2025

Many enhancements are included in ADVENTURECluster 2025,
such as performance improvement using hybrid parallelization, as shown below.

Solver performance improvements

  • Hybrid parallelization using both of MPI and OpenMP is now supported. Significant reductions in computation time are expected compared to previous versions, particularly at high parallelism levels of 100 or more.

Topology Optimization

  • Static condensation is now supported for static analysis. This feature is particularly effective to reduce computation time for optimizing a component topology in an assembly model by condensing surrounding parts that are not essential to the analysis.
  • The geometry obtained by topology optimization can now be exported as CAD data in STEP format, enabling seamless handling as a solid model for redesign purposes.

High-accuracy material model

  • The Hashiguchi plasticity model and Hashiguchi viscoplasticity model, proposed by Professor Emeritus Koichi Hashiguchi of Kyushu University, are now available. These material models can accurately reproduce cyclic plastic behavior and springback.
  • The Hashiguchi plasticity model also offers a material parameter identification based on experimental test data.

Vibration analysis improvements

  • Enforced motion method is now available for modal frequency and modal transient analysis. Compared to the previously supported large mass method, it allows for easier specification of excitation loads.
  • Viscoelastic properties are now supported in direct frequency response analysis. Viscoelastic properties based on the Prony series are now available.

Undercut mesh prevention function

  • In demolding analysis, a new feature is supported that excludes element surfaces with undercut meshes from contact settings. Even if the original CAD geometry does not contain undercuts, localized undercuts may occur during mesh generation. This feature enhances analysis stability under such conditions.

Documents

  • The format of user manuals and other documentations is changed from PDF to HTML format, allowing users to access the information they need more quickly and efficiently.
  • The Validation and Benchmark Guide is now available. Many fundamental problems are included in this version. Future updates will continue to expand its coverage with broader variety of cases.
